Collider.ClosestPointOnBounds Performance?

I'm working on a Melee script, which works fine in applying damage, but yet has to be tweaked to spwn a blood splat in the point closest to the weapon blade. Anyway, my sight was caught by the ClosestPointOnBounds option, but I'm in doubt - is there a possibility it will slow down the framerate if called multiple times in the same frame?
